I used them to install a retractable awning on my patio about 3 years ago. It is really amazing and still works flawlessly . Working with Gary through the installation process was a breeze.

We had one bay window that required special attention.They sent the installer out to make sure they could accommodate it before taking the order. They could. Our new friend Fidel made a special template and in a few days all three large awnings were completed and installed. They look beautiful, the high quality is very evident and I know we will enjoy them for many years. We had just finished remodeling the inside of the house. Compared to that, this experience was a piece of cake.

We just had The Awning Company install an L-shaped Riviera-style awning around our kitchen, which has a western exposure. The awning completely shades the kitchen from the evening sun, making the room 10 degrees cooler in summer. The awning is beautiful, looks sturdy, and no doubt adds value to our house. I got a couple of quotes for an awning for my home.  The sales rep, Tim, arrived on time and gave me some great recommendations on color and type of awning to replace my existing one.  The job was done on time, with GREAT communication from the office staff.  I would definitely recommend The Awning Company in Irvine, CA for quality, price and and service.

We procured four quotes before selecting The Awning Company of Irvine, primarily due to the detailed and technical info we received from their sales staff, and due to their follow-through by e-mail and phone.

All reputable companies use 10-year guaranteed Sunbrella fabric, so, the fabric sample books we saw were the same. All companies recommended on-roof installation for a single-story home. And it is so necessary (you won’t get this type of info on line from the local box warehouse store) to be able to adjust the pitch of the retracted awning at to get the needed height.

We visited their small office in Irvine, primarily to see installed awnings and to see larger fabric samples. We are glad we did. As a result we chose another design, which matches our house perfectly.  (Found some complementing Sunbrella material umbrellas locally) The thread used to assemble the material is crucial as well.  We opened an awning by hand-cranking it (easy!) and realized that retracting it is a job. We are glad to have chosen the motorized version for our 14 ft x 12 ft span.

Installation was easy to schedule and took much less than the half day we had set aside. Amazingly, it is was also a clean process. Initially, we were told the awning needed to be hard-wired. When the installer saw our receptacle under the eaves he installed a plug-in.  The conduit to the motor is hidden behind the fascia board as we had requested.

So far we had one call-back to adjust the pitch evenly. We are still waiting on some info regarding the looped stitching, and will update this review at a later date.
We were promised that the installers would come back as needed if we needed more adjustments. Very reassuring, as is the warranty spec sheet.

What a difference having this retractable awning makes to the quality of outdoor living. We can be out in the mid-day sun and enjoy the back yard for more hours in the day.

We just love the Awning Company!  We got a hole in our precioius awnings from an irresponsible neighbor shooting off firworks only two years after installation and called them for advice.  Jazi set up the appointment and Justin was out in 2 days and patched our awning and it looks brand new.  Thank you Awning Company!!!

We really like these guys!  Tim Davies did the bid/price, Fidel and a few other guys did the installation and all of them excude customer service.  We not only love our awnings but we would highly recommend this fine company to anyone!

They were good. Very knowledgable and experienced. We got exactly what we wanted. We checked other prices and they are right on the nose with others.

For both the estimate and the installation, the Awning Company showed up early (which I appreciated). They explained how pricing worked which helped me compare them to other offers I had seen. I was told from the beginning that it would take approximately 6- 8 weeks and it did take about 8 weeks. I am very happy with the service and product I received. The awning looks great! I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Make and Install three awnings.

I was told it would take 3 to 4 weeks to get the awnings.  Only took three weeks.  The installers were on time and installed the awnings without any problems.

We bought an awning to go above our front door.

I visited the showroom in Irvine to see the various awning styles and quality. Nice showroom, helpful salespeople and nice variety of samples. They made an appointment for a salesman to visit our home to take measurements, etc. He was prompt, friendly and professional. Measured, made recommendations, answered my questions, great experience. He even ordered fabric samples on the spot and they arrived at my house about a week later. He explained the difference between the quality of Sunbrella fabrics available, including the thread/stitching, fade resistance, etc.
The awning was custom made and when it was ready they called to schedule an installation visit. The installers arrived right on time and did a great job. The awning looks fantastic – all of our neighbors love it! Especially the one who lives across the street and gets to look at it all day 
I believe we received a discount for mentioning Angie’s List.
I believe the price was just slightly higher than others, but with the discount it all equaled out.
Very pleased with the experience!

Tim is the representative who came to the home and showed us the portfolio of options.  He helped us pick the style and explained the pros and cons to having a motorized versus manual awning.

It was installed today by Fidel who was very courteous and explained my questions patiently.  I told Fidel what I prefer in terms of the sunlight in the mornings depending on the season.  He immediately had a solution and accommodated my request by installing the awning a little higher so it won’t block the winter sun into the kitchen.

I am pleased with the color and the motorized option and would recommend this company to my friends.

Gary, from the Awning Company, came out to my house today for an estimate. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time and brought lots of fabric samples. There were so many fabric choices that it made it difficult to choose. I signed a contract with him and gave him almost half down. He said my awning would be ready in 3 weeks. I will update this review once my new awning is installed, but for now he earns 5 stars for his professionalism and one time arrival.

Just had my new awning installed today by the Awning Company. Quality of fabric was excellent as was installation! The 2 man crew were professional, polite, and cleaned up and removed the old torn up awning too. Overall, very pleased with the entire experience. So refreshing to do business with a company that does what it says and delivers on time! I highly recommend this company!

I called several awning companies to get ideas and pricing on a retractable awning for my backyard. I had a wooden patio cover that was rotten and termite invested and needed to be replaced. Gary was very professional and a pleasure to do business with.. showed up on time for first appointment and was extremely patient with us as we couldn’t decide on a color..his installers were very courteous and professional as well. the final install of our awning was flawless and we would def. use him again for any awning work we would need done.

Gary came out and measured for the job, he was very professional and had a variety of fabrics to choose from. I had a design in mind based on a picture I took at a model home for a steel framed fabric structure to sit atop our existing wood patio cover. What they created was far better then I could have imagined. The design had to be modified due to an obstruction on our stucco wall but they returned with the correction in a timely fashion and installed while we were gone. When we returned to see the finished job, I was personally amazed at how they fabricated exactly what I wanted from a two dimentional picture. Also installed a drop shade on the west side of the patio cover to give some badly needed afternoon shade. The end result was a simple wood patio cover had been transitioned into a semi-enclosed outdoor space that is perfect for entertaining and relaxing in the shade. Great customer service, craftsmanship and follow up that is hard to find in the construction trade today. Truly rare and very much appreciated. Thank you Gary and crew.

Gary, the owner, arrived on time to give me an estimate. Though not the absolute lowest price, the price was competitive, and Gary was very helpful with his suggestions. Two-week projected installation date was almost exact. Installer was on time, fast, and professional.

They scheduled one day but couldn’t make it because it rained, so they rescheduled for the following weekend and came out and were pretty much on time. They were very good, very neat. He did what he said he was gonna do and he was very reasonable. He was the most reasonable offer, they were about 20% cheaper. The guy was very nice and personable. He gave me an Angie’s List discount, even though he wasn’t on Angie’s List to match an offer from another guy. When he came out to show us the product, ’cause it was already fabricated, I didn’t like it and he redid them at no charge. In a month or two I’ll call him back to do the other two windows downstairs.
